Police looking for clues about the cause of death Jani Lane, former vocalist of metal group Warrant. 47-year-old Lane was found dead on Friday (12 / 8), in a hotel room in San Fernando Valley just north of Los Angeles.
The results of autopsy examination failed to find the cause of death of Lane. However, the Los Angeles coroner's office said they would wait for the results of toxicology tests that will be given two months from now.
With long blond hair and tight pants, Lane is one of the icons in the hair band era of the 1980s. He joined Warrant in 1984 and spawned a number of successful hits like Heaven, Down Boys, and Cherry Pie.
